A few notes about the products:
- The foundation is a richer color than we have worn in the past and may appear too dark when first applied. If applied correctly and blended properly it will look great on stage. Note: You must use a wet make-up sponge to apply the foundation.
- You have a couple options in the blush packet. Please use either of the two darker colors based on your skin tone. Blend, blend, blend with your brushes
General make-up tips:
- Use brushes to apply and blend. Decent, inexpensive sets can be found from e.l.f. Cosmetics, CVS, Ulta.com and Amazon.com. The shorter and stiffer the brush, the heavier the coverage and will be more difficult to blend.
- Check out: www.thefashionspot.com/beauty/492605-beginners-guide-makeup-brushes/#/slide/1
- After loading your brush, lightly tap the handle to dislodge loose particles.
- Apply lighter colors first and then progressively darker colors to minimize brush contamination.
- If you don’t feel like you're "painted," you may not have enough makeup on. Stage make-up is intense! You will look washed-out under the lights if you don’t have enough on.
- Practice, practice, practice, especially if you do not usually use makeup or are not used to brushes.
- Brushes can be cleaned with Johnson’s Baby Shampoo (travel size less expensive alternative in lieu of branded brush cleaner) and dried at an angle with brush fibers pointed downward.
